Our Sake

We are great sake enthusiasts and have collected a premium selection for the restaurant. We have some of the best Sake in Christchurch, all of the sake from our list are personal pick and most of them are exclusively imported from Japan.

In our selection, we try to cover as many different types of sake as possible, from a Modern fruity, Traditional, Dry, Cedar barrel fermented…

Unlike other restaurant, we will keep our sake list compact without too many on the list. Once opened it need to be finished soon. Sake start oxidizes and losing its delicate aroma.

There are thousands of sakes yet to be try, bringing sake into here is challenging. We will keep looking and updating our sake list to keep it interesting.

For premium cold sake we will serve it in a Riedel wine glass.
A wine glass is the perfect way to enjoy delicate, aromatic cold sake.
It helps to collect and release nuanced aromas over a larger surface area, whereas with a traditional small ceramic cups (ochoko) the fragrance is not as palpable.

We would like to share our sake knowledge with you, to illustrate and impart our passion and love for sake.

Here is our current list.
